R.I.P. Alexander McQueen
Lee Alexander McQueen CBE
(17 March 1969 – 11 February 2010)
He was an English fashion designer known for his unconventional designs and shock tactics. My favorite designer! McQueen worked as the head designer at Givenchy for five years before founding the Alexander McQueen and McQ labels. McQueen's dramatic designs, worn by celebrities including Björk, Lady Gaga and Rihanna, met with critical acclaim and earned him the British Designer of the Year award four times. He will be missed by the fashion world, his death came as a shock to me as I love all of his work to date. He was truly Alexander "THE GREAT" McQueen!

GO GUCCI!
The new SS10 collection from Gucci is on point, as well as their campaign. You can just about smell the sweet sea breeze with a hint of Gucci blowing in from the tropics. I have posted 3 pics, top one is my favorite followed by 2 more below.
(above)I love the dress and shoes in this image. The model (Natasha Poly) wears them exceptionally well and the choice of scenery, layout etc for this shot as well as the rest of the campaign shots... just amazing! Her still stiff like looking limbs with the movement of her hair is a sweet contrast. Such a great capture. And the (grey) dress (above)... you don't even want to get me started, that's one for MY WARDROBE! I'd wear the hell out of it, as well as the shoes! Lord knows I love me a nice pair of HIGH HEELS!

LOVE,
Today makes it a year,
when I left for a bit and you left me in fear,
with these feelings the same as the day you were here.

You brought me back down to the ground,
off the bad high road I was travelling on.

I Love, trying to keep the positivity,
but it seems as if the walls are closing in on me.
Unhelped, strong and brave but so lonely,
ununderstood by many,
my love is crazy.
You and I are too good to be true,
all started with a "i Dare you to..."
Now where are you,
life's hateable sometimes,
but I treasure you and our rhymes.
Good and Bad times.
Sex and adventures,
eachothers mentors, can't love you any less,

R.I.P. Michael Jackson
The Late Great KING of Pop went out in style, indeed. His Family came together to celebrate his life along with more than half the world, I'm sure. His filmed memorial was watched by many worldwide. He, Michael Jackson (MJ) will live on through his music forever! I personally LOVE his music, dancing, videos and of course most of his fashions and performance attire. From the Unique jackets, single gloves, suits, dancing shows and white socks with the classic high water pants, MJ was rocking some intense hot gear (most of the time) if you ask me! What I dislike the media's approach on reporting everything they can, on anyone not just MJ, but in his case. Bother him so much when he was alive and then keep digging when he's gone- Do you people have a heart at all? Like really...I personally am not interested in the cause of death, I'm just sad that we lost a great entertainer, the GREATEST, a true Legend!

SPRAINED!
Okay so on my birthday weekend i had a little trip and...ended up with a sprained ankle. An ankle sprain is a partial or complete tear of the ligaments that support the ankle. Ligaments are strong bands of tissue that cross joints and connect bones to each other. I'm on pain killers, got crutches and will probally on one foot for about 2-3 weeks... One week down. Lets see how it heals...
CAUSES
*Falling
*Sudden twisting of the ankle
RISK FACTORS
*Playing sports
*Having:
-Poor coordination
-Poor balance
-Inadequate strength in muscles and tight ligaments
-Loose joints
SYMPTOMS
*Pain, swelling, and bruising around the ankle
*Worsening of pain when walking, standing, pressing on the sore area, or moving the ankle inward
*Inability to move the ankle joint without pain
*Popping or tearing sound at the time of the injury (possibly)
DIAGNOSIS
*Inability to move ankle without significant pain (CHECK)
*Inability to put any weight on that foot (CHECK)
*Pain over a bony part of your foot or ankle (CHECK)
*Pain that interferes significantly with walking (DOUBLE CHECK)
*Pain not relieved by ice, pain relief medication, and elevation (CHECK, AGAIN)
*Numbness in the leg, foot, or ankle (a little)
*Pain that does not improve in 5-7 days (CHECK- aint improved YET, AND um been hospital already and got it checked!)
*Uncertainty about the severity of the injury (I waited 2Days before i got it checked- I knew it was sprained- sprained this same ankle in high school- Resulting in EARLY RETIREMENT from BASKETBALL!) :)
Test that may be needed:
*X-rays —to make sure that no bones are broken (I GOT AN X-RAY- guy was touchin n turnin my ankle, bie.. WHAAAT!- HURT LIKE HELL!)
*MRI scan —to see if a ligament has torn completely (rarely needed)
TREATMENT
Treatment for a sprained ankle includes:
Rest—Avoid putting any pressure on your ankle by not walking on it. Using crutches will allow for partial weight-bearing. This is allowed, early on, except in three ligament tears.
Ice—Apply ice or a cold pack to the ankle for 15-20 minutes, 4 times a day for at least 2-3 days. This helps reduce pain and swelling. Wrap the ice or cold pack in a towel. Do not apply the ice directly to your skin.
Compression—Wrap your ankle in an elastic compression bandage (eg, Ace bandage). Wrap from the toes going up toward the knee. This will limit swelling of your ankle and foot.
Elevation—Keep your ankle raised above the level of your heart as much as you can for 48 hours. This will help drain fluid and reduce swelling.
Medication—Take one of the following drugs to help reduce inflammation and pain:
Ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil)
Naproxen (Aleve, Naprosyn)
Acetaminophen (Tylenol)
Aspirin
Rehabilitation exercises—Begin exercises to restore flexibility, range of motion, and strength of the muscles around your ankle as recommended by your health care professional.
Brace—You may need to wear a brace to immobilize your ankle. In many instances, a brace, which stabilizes and compresses the ankle, will allow for early weight bearing and an earlier return to activity. You will be rehabilitating the ankle as it heals. If you play sports, you may need to wear an ankle brace or tape your ankle when you return to play.
Leg cast—A cast is very rarely needed for an ankle sprain. If you have a severe sprain, your doctor may recommend a short leg cast for 2-3 weeks, but this is very rare. In many cases, there are special braces that can be used instead of a cast.
Surgery—Surgery is rarely needed to repair an ankle sprain, but it may be necessary to repair a third degree sprain in which all three ligaments are torn.
If you are diagnosed with an ankle sprain, follow your doctor's instructions.

FC Barcelona were crowned European champions for a third time – and the second in four seasons – as a vibrant display of pass and move, capped by goals in either half from Samuel Eto'o and Lionel Messi, defeated Manchester United FC in Rome.
Sir Alex Ferguson, Manchester United manager "expected better" from the holders, he paid tribute to the victors' stylish football and admitted "the better team won".

Will Ferrell has done some crazy stunts, and I must mention some GREAT, Hilarious movies, (I love this guy!) He takes it to a next level on his adventure on the Discovery Channels Man -vs- Wild. Armed with only the most basic survival equipment Will and show host Bear Grylls- who is an ex-Special Forces soildier and survival expert- went on a 2 day joint expedition. They even drank their own pee, so I've heard.. ohh NOW um, I don't know about that one. I mean yes you can survive off it but it's for a T.V. show...so I don't know if I could go that far. I wonder how much they got paid for the show.. and to drink their own PEE! :) lol I SOOO wanna see this show..lol. Look out for it on the Discovery Channel- think it airs June 2nd, Check out the video below for a taste of the show.

The world's fifth most affluent nation on a GDP-per-capita basis is also the world's cleanest. Switzerland scores a perfect 100 in eight environmental indicators, including sanitation and water quality, forest health and pesticide regulation. All that cleanliness translates into a life expectancy of 81 years for the Swiss. But Switzerland's mountainous landscape forces farmers to grow crops on every slope and in every cranny, reducing the country to a merely average score in agricultural practices.

Costa Rica

Costa Rica's economy relies on a robust ecotourism industry, and the care it takes for its environment shows. The Central American country ranks fifth in the global Environmental Index, a rating that should only improve as it strives to become carbon-neutral by 2021. Costa Rica has avoided the deforestation that ravages some Latin American countries: the country earns a score of 97 or better in the categories of forestry, air pollution and climate change. But the country isn't as kind to its offshore environment, scoring abysmally in the marine protected areas category.
Why did I research and write about this you ask?? Well, I'm 1/2 Swiss so Big up to Switzerland!! :) ...and it's good to know, don't you think. I would say from experience, being there it is very clean and pristine looking, fresh air, clean COLD rivers (been swimming in them) lots of beautiful gardens, lots of farms and livestock and everyone I've stayed with seems to conserve as much energy as they can and reuse a lot and don't waste as much as we, in other locations might. I love to visit my family in Switzerland and the mountains are absolutely beautiful!
